Overview

This is intended to help such organisations build their capacity and make the most effective use of resources. If your organisation has identified a need for consultancy or training, but you haven't chosen a consultant, this fund might be able to help you.

They want to help organisations like yours to effectively structure themselves. You will need to demonstrate how our help will develop your organisation in the future and how this will improve your long-term stability.

CAF aim to provide support that includes consultancy, help with training costs and your organisation's costs during the training period.

Areas of consultancy and training:

  • organisational review
  • strategic and business planning
  • funding and resourcing strategy
  • mergers, partnerships and collaborative working
  • board development
  • immediate and urgent needs
  • financial management
  • crisis management
  • grantmaking
  • training in management, financial management and fundraising

The support package they aim to provide includes:

  • up to 20 days' CAF consultancy with one of our consultants
  • financial support for external training costs
  • flexible funding for your organisation's costs during this period

The total value of the grant will be up to £20,000.

If you are submitting a joint application with another organisation, CAF may fund more than 20 days' consultancy. If CAF receive a number of similar applications they may offer a joint consultancy or training. CAF will also cover up to 100% of the cost of your consultancy and training. CAF will look at the financial position of your organisation in order to decide the level of consultancy and training they will support.

Please note:

  • CAF do not automatically give 100% funding and your organisation may be asked to contribute towards consultancy
  • CAF do not accept requests for funding only
