B&CE Charitable Trust
Overview
B&CE’s Charitable Trust provides the following grants:
- Grants for organisations for delivery of education and training projects leading to qualifications in construction.
- Grants supporting occupational health and safety initiatives in construction.
Corporate Grants for education and training
Grants are available for projects that either promote careers in the construction industry or lead to accredited qualifications.
They encourage applications from not-for-profit organisations, excluding public sector.
Grants for health & safety
Mowlem Award - Their Mowlem Award is an annual £20,000 grant given to organisations that can demonstrate they will make a real difference towards training and the promotion of health and safety in construction.
Occupational Health Research Award - Their Occupational Health Research Award offers a £25,000 grant to carry out research aimed at improving the occupational health of people in construction.
Who will they fund:
The Trust works with like-minded organisations to support individuals and to raise awareness of a range of issues in the construction industry.
They signpost to other organisations that may meet the needs of a specific claimant. These organisations can also refer cases back to us – it’s a two-way partnership.
They are also keen to develop strategic partnerships with organisations to administer grants for individuals on their behalf.
Their partners include:
- housing associations
- advisory organisations such as debt management, financial advice, return to work
- charities including health, armed forces and older people
- educational projects linked to careers within construction
- HM Prison support organisations
- counselling organisations including substance abuse.
