Overview
A wide range of groups such as community associations, women’s groups, church groups, organisations and groups involved in community relations and community development work can apply.
- The assistance is aimed at locally based groups.
- The assistance is aimed at projects which involve all sections of the community
- Applications should be from properly constituted organisations with an elected committee (except in the case of start up assistance)
- Applications should provide evidence of the groups financial position at time of application
- Applicants should be aware that if may not be possible to assist them to the extent requested, or at all, even if all the criteria are met.
- Applications will not be considered retrospectively.
- It is expected that the group will provide a written evaluation report on the project not more that one year after assistance is granted, indicating the allocation of funds.
This programme is open to all voluntary and community groups within the Borough. The maximum amount of grant aid awarded is up to £200.
Eligible costs for grant aid include: programme costs; transport (within N.Ireland); food; equipment; programme costs; publicity and facilitators costs.
