Overview

The Bagri Foundation, a UK charity dedicated to promoting an understanding of Asian cultures, has launched its 2025/26 Arts & Culture Grants programme.

Eligibility

  • UK and European registered charities.
  • Charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs)
  • Exempt charities (e.g. national museums)
  • Community Interest Companies (CICs)
  • Not-for-profit organisations
  • Creative collectives with proven track record and public profile

While their primary focus is on projects in London, they also support initiatives across the UK and Europe and by invitation only for international projects.

What are they looking to fund

The Foundation supports diverse forms of cultural expression, encompassing both traditional and contemporary mediums, such as:

  • Artisan crafts
  • Exhibitions and Biennials
  • Music
  • New public commissions
  • Performing arts
  • Literature public events
  • Prizes and awards

Retrospectives, group shows, and programmes that support cultural dialogue are particularly encouraged.

Eligible projects must fulfil all the requirements below to be eligible:

  • Be hosted by established organisations with a track record of delivering artistic projects.
  • Promote the sharing of traditional or contemporary Asian culture.
  • Include established or mid-career level artists from Asia or the diasporas.
  • Result in a tangible public outcome.
  • Align with their mission as outlined below:

Vision and Mission

  • To cultivate a meaningful space for Asian culture to thrive; to shift perspectives and form deeper connections.
  • Their mission is to support and realise unique, high-quality programmes which share traditional and contemporary Asian culture.
  • Their aim is to upend existing notions of Asia and provide opportunities for new artistic presentations that sit equal amongst predominant Western narratives.

Funding Level & Notes

Grants, ranging from £5,000 to £150,000, are awarded twice a year, and  typically covering 10–40% of the total project cost.
