Overview

The prestigious Arts & Business NI Awards, in partnership with Forestside, celebrate creative partnership projects between arts organisations and businesses and the amazing things they achieve when their talents are combined.

They also celebrate innovative individuals who have gone above and beyond to support arts organisations and recognise outstanding organisations from the Arts & Business NI membership network.

Who can Apply?

Arts & Business NI Awards are free to enter and their five open categories are eligible for entries from A&B NI Members, non-members and Investment Programme applicants who are based in Northern Ireland. The nominated creative partnerships or projects must have taken place between 1 June 2022 – 31 July 2023.

Eligibility

  1. Arts & Business NI Awards are open to creative partnerships between arts organisations and businesses based in Northern Ireland.
  2. The nominated partnership or project must have taken place between 1 June 2022 and 31 July 2023.
  3. Sponsorships may be financial, in-kind or a mixture of both. The quality and outcomes of the partnership will be more important than the amount of money involved.
  4. The nomination can be completed by the business and/or arts organisation. However, it is vital that both parties acknowledge that the nomination is an accurate record.
  5. Creative partnerships may be entered into more than one category where relevant.
  6. In cases where a project involves two or more businesses, all businesses are eligible for nomination.

Nomination Categories 2023

  • Creative Community Engagement Award - Recognising an arts and business partnership, which used the power of creativity to engage with local communities and achieve a positive impact.
  • Creative Workplace Award  - Awarded to a partnership between an arts organisation and a business that used creativity to help the business connect with, inspire and uplift their workforce.
  • Creative Communications Award - Awarded to a partnership between an arts organisation and a business that engaged the arts to elevate their communications campaigns, reaching new audiences, increasing engagement, or raising their brand profiles to new heights.
  • Commitment to Diversity Award - Recognising a partnership between an arts organisation and a business that uses creativity to address issues relating to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Leaders on Arts Boards Award - Awarded to an exemplary arts board member who, in a voluntary capacity, has added outstanding benefit to an arts organisation.
  • Special Recognition Awards

    • They also have three special recognition awards, chosen by their judges with winners announced on the night. These include the A&BNI Arts Organisation of the Year Award which is presented with a £3k bursary, A&BNI Business of the Year Award and Forestside Choice Award which is presented with a £1k bursary.
