Overview

Application for Grant will only be considered from a club on behalf of:

  • Clubs based in the Borough and who are members of Antrim Sports Advisory Association, affiliated for a minimum of three months, will be given preference.
  • Individuals who are resident in the Borough and who are members of a club which has been affiliated to Antrim Sports Advisory Association for a minimum of three months and whose sport is recognised by the Sports Council for Northern Ireland.
  • Individuals who are resident in the Borough, but not a member of an affiliated club or organisation in their sport in the Borough, may be considered at the discretion of Antrim Sports Advisory Association.

The Sports Advisory Association will release 50% of the total amount awarded on approval of the application and 50% on receipt of a report or proof of attendance and all receipts, which should be submitted within two months of the first payment being distributed.

Any member of the Sports Advisory Association should, where applicable, declare his or her interest in a submission for grant. An affiliated club may normally only apply to the Antrim Sports Advisory Association. Individuals under the age of 25 should apply through the Antrim Borough/Enkalon Foundation Youth Bursary programme.

INDIVIDUAL CATEGORIES - Maximum Grant

  • Participation in events outside Northern Ireland approved by the Governing Body and where the applicant has achieved the appropriate qualifying standard. £500
  • Coaching Courses: Course fees for coaches, officials and club personnel. £400

CLUB CATEGORIES

  • Hiring of specialist coaches for specialised training sessions. £400
  • To purchase essential equipment £400
  • Contribution to statutory fees £100
  • Special Events/projects hosted by an affiliated club that has a club or community impact £500
  • A club with prven financial diffulties, which oculd lead to disbanding, may makea special one-off application to ASAA for consideration.

PRIORITIES

Sports Clubs in the Borough who are currently members of the Sports Advisory Association.

Individuals from a Sports Club, who are over 25, in the Borough who have shown both talent and commitment in their sport.

Clubs who actively seek to improve club Administration and Coach Education by supporting the Coach Education and Training Programmes.
