Advocate Europe Challenge
Overview
Who are they looking for?
“Advocate Europe” is open to civil society actors from across Europe: no matter if you are a student or a professional; have many years of experience or very few; if you are looking for a challenge and have long been excited about Europe, democracy and the future – or if up until now you’ve only encountered these topics on television and on election day. They are looking for people who want to actively develop the Europe of tomorrow – and who want to start somewhere today.
They are enthusiastic about unusual partnerships that cross geographical, generational, linguistic or cultural boundaries, and about collaborations that connect branches or disciplines that are otherwise separate.
And are looking for open, curious, enthusiastic and motivated people who are interested in future-oriented work on European integration – people who know that we can only solve our challenges together.
How does the idea challenge work?
Your project idea will be published on advocate-europe.eu immediately after you enter the information on the website. The submission phase lasts approximately six weeks and, during that time, all visitors to the website will be able to see your project idea. Until the end of the submission period, registered users will be able to comment on, discuss and rate the submitted ideas. This process will take place in German and English. English-language submissions are preferred, since they reach a broader community throughout Europe.
What can you win?
Out of all submission an interdisciplinary expert jury will select up to 12 winners who will each receive up to €50,000 to implement their project ideas. Additionally, registered users can vote for their favorite projects. The five ideas with the highest numbers of user votes will make it to the final round of the jury deliberations. The project with the most user votes will win a Community Award and the applicant will receive a prize of €5,000, independent of the expert jury's decision.
